Freedom in Selfhood

Freedom within self from self: Self lost in Thought & Time

I have been driven by time & thought and to be honest, by the time I am writing this, I definitely havent mastered the solution but I it is getting clear to me what is actually happening within ones psyche to be controlled by thought and time.

Man have been lead by thought and time across history and it is really evident if we pause and look at it. Thoughts that make us feel safe, we defend even if it caused wars and brought chaos – we politically bring others into our thoughts or by into their or a mix of both that happens, its never 1 man who starts a cult, its a group that builts it, those who follow more than they lead but both are building it. And in time, we have been so scarse in history that we stacked gold to the grave, this is well recorded and many have mined such treasures from underneath the ground, where people/kings/queens… have took gold with them to the grave, yes not everyone is doing this today, but similarily something like it is happening, we hold onto materialistic things in hopes of it giving us more time and more enjoyment per time, some of us may stack their homes with food for months or in urgent times like what happened with covid many took extra bread in fear of not being able to get any for the next few days (due to a high demand and farmers/traders facing a crisis) yet many of those who bought the bread had to throw it away after it molded.

There are countless examples of these phenomenas happening today, and in history – and there is no doubt that these events are not hard and difficult to go through. The fear of starvation and death, and the fear of not having security… These fears are legitimate and are part of our logical radar to help us navigate life and do what is necessary. But what is unnecessary? If there is a necessary role of fear, which part of it is unnecessary?

Krishnamurti helped me in thinking all this through in one of his videos (I will leave a link below)

Jiddu Krishnamurti 1895 – 1986

We are driven by our fears if we are not addressing it. If we are not aware of the cause of the fear and in this, it means even if we have to spend effort in finding the cause of it.

We often like to think that things can come to us easy, that if we just listen to some guru or some advice, we will get everything figured out… but that could not be further from the truth. In fact, the dependency on something external to solve our problems will always lead to dependency, more hunger and even slavery at its extreme depending on how we want to few slavery. I see slavery as anyone who would rip you away from freedom, and in such case it could be an external tranny done by other on you OR an internal cause of fleeing from self, which can be make us attached to others to give us the next pill of security, or dopamine hit (this can even be a distraction).

This form of inner deception will happen unconsciously in most cases, unless the individual is to proud to say something like “why do I have to think about it, I just want to enjoy life” … while we all know they are in desperate need for dopamine hits, which does not equate to enjoyment. Such people who deny the true self needs, had embraced a persona or an image of the self, they justify the actions that are wasting their health, time, money, intelligence ….

So fear to be eliminated we have to be honest with ourself, because without honestly we will not be able to see, know and observe that fear that Jiddu Krishnamurti mentioned.

If we look at the wrong mirror we will not see the true self.

At the base of our fear is restlessness. The restlessness comes from either not finding answers or wanting to have more time (time for the true self). The ultimate suppression of the human needs cannot be suppressed forever, therefore humans would have to keep suppressing it or denying it until death.

At the base of our fear is restlessness. The restlessness comes from either:

  1. Not finding answers or
  2. Wanting to have more time for and with our true self

If we want to embrace selfhood, we must consider these 2 things because they are the essence of thought and time.

Wanting so badly to find thought (from someone) or be distracted by thought which is really the foundation of why degenerate entertainment survives today.

Wanting so badly to find time, will lead to future seeking – that is to work for the future and sacrifice today for the future.
